NorthInvest Pitching Event- July 4th

by Camille Sainsbury|6th July 2018

On the 4th July, NorthInvest held their 3rd Pitching event of the year. Showcasing the crème de la crème of the emerging tech world with fresh concepts, seeking investment from investors that engage with their products/ services and have the expertise to make a mark on their businesses.  Attracting a range of start-ups from Fintech to Bio Tech, our network of Angel Investors were left feeling engaged and inspired. Our entrepreneurs were very impressed by the far-reaching expertise of our angels as they delved into the ins and outs of their business ideas.

Businesses included:

AlgoLib: An Algorithm marketplace revolutionising the way of building solutions.

Digidentistry: An innovative and unique dental 3D system designed to stimulate and improve learning, application driven, easy to use and even easier to learn!

Gartenzwerg: Grow your own food with Gartenzwerg. An automated and nicely designed indoor garden with which you can grow easily year-round from home

Poptop: Event planning made easy: book trusted local wedding and corporate entertainment professionals quickly, easily and safely.

LightOx: Revolutionary illumination tools for research and therapeutics.

All of the entrepreneurs received invaluable feedback to advance their businesses further, along with potential mentorship opportunities with some of the investors and potential for cash investment further down the line. This match-making with investors and start-ups is absolutely crucial to developing a strong tech ecosystem that drives growth in the North, we want to be at the forefront of this interaction and have advised 73 companies to date on improving their investment potential.

All of our pitching sessions are followed by a light lunch where investors and entrepreneurs can network further, broadening their networks and industry knowledge. These pitching events are planned every 2 months, with more frequency later on as our deal-flow increases.
